MacHeist 2:Philadelphia Miniheist

From WikiHeist, the unofficial MacHeist wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

A couple of operatives went to the drop location in Philadelphia and were given two items. See this link for a picture of the items.

Together they retrieved:

  • a Digital Photo Frame (Mustek PF-L100)
  • and last but not least a kite with the number 5039 written on it

from a guy resembling Benjamin Franklin.

The Digital Photo Frame has an USB connection, but can't be mounted in either OS X or Windows. The only way to manipulate the data residing on the disk is by using a special application supplied within the package of the Digital Photo Frame.

The Mustek PF-L100 contains five images which seem to represent 5 different locations in the city of Philadelphia.

Some possible information about extracting images from the drive can be found here

The five locations are as follows:

A Google Earth file if you want to look closer and all locations on the same map

It looks like these locations are the 5 Devon Self Storage locations in Philadelphia.

In the fifth Devon Self-Storage facility, box 5039 contained a Rubik's Cube with "NICE WORK" written on it ("NICE" written on the white and "WORK" written on the yellow blocks, so when you solve it they spell nice work on two sides in an "L" shape) and an envelope containing a tiny digital sound recorder with nothing but a single clicking sound on it.

A summary made by forum member stoked887 about what happened throughout the day (starting with the meeting with "Ben Franklin") can be found here: [1]
