IRC

From WikiHeist, the unofficial MacHeist wiki

Jump to: navigation, search
"Welcome. Welcome to #macheist. You have chosen, or been invited to join the most active section of the Macheist Community. I thought so much of #macheist that I elected to establish myself here, with the operator privileges so thoughtfully provided by our benefactor (Neko). So wheter you're here to stay, or just passing through in your search for hints, welcome. Welcome to #macheist. It's smarter here."

Some members of Mac Heist started an IRC channel at irc://irc.macnn.com/#macheist.
The channel was started, after a discussion on the forums, by neko who also manages Chanserv and op access.
The channel achieved some fame when it was linked to on the front page of macheist.com for a short period, and user numbers approached 200. A second channel, #mh-chat was started shortly after this to control the amount of off-topic conversation.
